  • To begin, select a question to the left.
  • Can I use my Vessel Drinkware™ right away?
Wash your Vessel Drinkware™ items before use. A new water bottle should be soaked in water and vinegar overnight. Any metallic tastes that may be present in a new bottle should be eliminated with this solution.
  • How do I wash my Vessel Drinkware™?
Always remember that a clean Vessel Drinkware™ is a happy Vessel Drinkware™! To ensure the longevity of the exterior finish of your drinkware and keep your "Tough Little Owl" looking tough, please be sure to hand wash only. The food-safe paint may deteriorate in some dishwashers.

Stainless steel water bottles are cleaned easily with baking soda or distilled vinegar. Water bottles can also be cleaned by putting some rice and vinegar inside and shaking well.

Because of the foam insulation, do not submerge our stainless-steel tumblers under water.
  • There's a brown spot on my bottle...
The brown spot in your bottle is a spot caused by Iron that is occasionally present in the manufacturing of Stainless Steel (hence stain-less, not stain-proof). This is not a corrosive kind of rust you may find on a car, only a surface blemish from the Iron.

These marks typically come off very easily with the application of a metal cleaner like Barkeepers Friend, or some of our customers have suggested a solution of vinegar and baking powder.
  • What liquids can go into my Vessel Drinkware™?
Our tumblers and bottles are safe for acidic drinks (such as orange juice) as well as - ahem - booze. However, the products may require a more extensive cleaning than soap and water. For these applications we do recommend cleaning with vinegar and baking soda.
  • What temperatures of liquids can go inside?
For your safety, water bottles are for cold drinks only. Since our bottles are a single-walled, the temperature will transfer, and you may be burned. We like you, and want you to like us, so please don't use your bottle in a reckless manner.

Double-wall stainless steel tumblers can be used for hot or cold drinks. The porcelain terra is designed to hold drinks up to 170°. Also don't spill hot liquids on yourself- it might hurt. And we wouldn't want that.
  • Can I freeze my Vessel Drinkware™?
Let's think for a second... water expands when you freeze it... so if you freeze your bottle with water in it, it will most likely explode. If you do this, don't be mad at yourself, laugh at yourself- and we will be laughing with you. Sorry to say this would not be covered under our warranty- however entertaining it may be.
  • Can they be microwaved?
All of our products, except the terra, are not microwave safe.
    Metal + Microwave = Bad.
  • How durable are the straws for my acrylic tumbler?
The straws are not meant to be chewed on. If you chew on a straw or apply pressure to it you may crack it. Inspect your straw frequently and discontinue the use of it if you notice any hairline cracks or other corruptions.

  • What temperatures are safe for the straw?
Hot drinks may damage your straw, so we suggest using the straw for cold drinks only or wait for your drink to cool down a bit.

  • How can I keep my straw clean?
Straws should be hand washed. Soaking your straw in soapy water, espresso descaler or using a solution of baking soda and vinegar are pretty effective.
  • Is there BPA (or Bisphenol A) in my Vessel Drinkware™?
All of our products and lids are BPA-free.
  • Where are they made?
Our bottles are ethically produced in China in factories that are both ISO 9001 and 12001 compliant for environmental and labor practices, and we have company representatives visit our factories regularly. Our designs are printed domestically.
  • What kind of stainless steel is used?
Our bottles are .4mm-gauge, type 304 (18/8) stainless steel body.
  • What is the difference between the stainless steel and aluminum bottles? #304 18/8 stainless steel does not require liners, and is more resistant to corrosion than lesser #207, or #400 grades of Stainless steel that are not as resistant to stains/corrosion. Some scientific hypothesis link environmental factors such as Aluminum with Alzheimers- good thing I remembered. Don’t take our word for it, check it out for yourself, too..
  • What are the lids made of?
Our bottle and tumbler lids are made of polypropylene. The terra lid is made of silicone. All of our lids are BPA free.
  • What kind of ink is printed on the drinkware?
Our ink is lead-free and food safe. Be sure to hand-wash the bottles to protect the ink. Polar bears are already vanishing from the north pole. They don't need to vanish from your water bottle as well!
  • Can my bottle dent?
While our stainless-steel is strong and break-resistant, drinkware may dent when dropped.

LOVE YOUR BOTTLE! They are pretty tough, but not indestructible. The "balance" bottle we offer is less drop resistant because of its 90 degree bottom... but gosh it sure looks good! Our other bottles have rounded edges if you want something that can really take a beating.
  • Who can use Vessel Drinkware™?
Vessel Drinkware™ is intended to be used by humans over 13. (This means you, kangaroo...)

Due to new child product testing regulations we unfortunately do not intend for our products to be sold to humans under 13 years of age. It isn’t because our products don’t pass the testing, it is because of the way the new law requires that every batch of every design be tested. We are currently in a holdover mode to see how the legislation ultimately ends up. Testing per item, per design would run $1000 ea and we simply offer too broad of a selection and change our designs out too often to absorb that.

The inks we use to print our designs are supplied and applied domestically using the best methods available to the marketplace. All of our inks are free of heavy metals like cadmium and lead.

For customers wanting to create a specific children’s program with our products, we recommend that you order at least 500pcs or more of the same design at one time. This will keep the testing cost down to $2.00 per item. Unfortunately this is a problem plaguing the entire children’s product industry right now. Stay tuned, we hope that a regulator will soon realize that there must be a better way.
  • Does Vessel Drinkware™ offer a warranty?
We do have a limited 1-year warranty. This does not cover drinkware that has been dropped. If you have any concerns about the quality of your drinkware, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you!

For returns or replacements, please note that the price of shipping is not covered and that proof of purchase is required.
  • Where can I buy Vessel Drinkware™?
To find a store that carries Vessel Drinkware closest to you, please contact us. If you would like to purchase Vessel Drinkware™ items online, check out our online store.
  • Are Vessel Drinkware™ bottles leak-proof?
Unless you're using a sport top lid, our bottles are leak-proof.
  • Are the Spirit and Terra leak proof?
Our acrylic and porcelain tumblers have tightly sealed lids designed to help prevent spills, but because of their openings they are not leak-proof.
  • Are Vessel Drinkware™ tumblers leak-proof?
Please note that while many of our tumbler lids are very spill resistant (i.e. our Laguna has a threaded lid with snap closure), none are leak-proof. We wouldn't suggest letting them get thrown around in the bottom of a backpack.
  • What if I'm unhappy with my Vessel Drinkware™?
    Please don’t be sad!

First off, here's a hug! We know we’re not perfect, but we're pretty damn good (though we may be just a bit biased!). If for any reason you are unhappy with your Vessel Drinkware™ product, please let us know. Though we do like to flaunt our stuff, if you're not happy with our product, then we're not happy either!
