| Can I use my oneVessel right away? | Wash your oneVessel items before use. (Please see the question below for cleaning instructions). |
| How do I clean my bottle or tumbler? |
Always remember that a clean oneVessel is a happy oneVessel! To ensure the longevity of the exterior finish of your drinkware, please be sure to hand wash only. The food-safe paint may deteriorate in some dishwashers. Stainless steel bottles are cleaned easily with baking soda or distilled vinegar, or by putting some rice and vinegar inside and shaking well. Do not submerge our double-wall stainless steel and porcelain tumblers under water, as water may become stuck between the walls. |
| There's a brown spot on my bottle... | If you notice a brown spot on your stainless steel, don't worry! It's a spot caused by iron that is occasionally present in the manufacturing of stainless steel (hence stain-less, not stain-proof). This is not a corrosive kind of rust you may find on a car, only a surface blemish from the iron. These marks typically come off very easily with the application of a metal cleaner like Barkeepers Friend, or a solution of vinegar and baking powder. |
| How durable are the straws for my acrylic tumbler? | The straws are not meant to be chewed on. If you chew on a straw or apply pressure to it you may crack it. Inspect your straw frequently and discontinue the use of it if you notice any hairline cracks. We recommend using the straw in cool or average liquids as it may warp in higher temperatures. |
| How can I keep my straw clean? | Straws should be hand washed. Soaking your straw in soapy water, espresso descaler or using a solution of baking soda and vinegar are pretty effective. Spare acrylic straws can be purchased on our online store. |
| Can my product dent or break? | While our stainless steel is strong, drinkware may dent when dropped. Please note that dropped bottles are not covered under our warranty. Our glass bottles and tumblers are made from a borosilicate glass (which is more resistant to thermal shock), but they are still glass, so please handle with care. When adding ice to the double-wall glass, we recommend placing ice in after the liquid to help prevent breakage. As with other double-wall glass mugs, glasses and tumblers, since the inner wall is suspended in air, ice dropped inside may cause the glass to fracture or shatter. (Think of it as in dropping a rock... ouch!) |

| What liquids can go into my oneVessel? | Our tumblers and bottles are safe for acidic drinks (such as orange juice) as well as - ahem - booze. However, the products may require a more extensive cleaning than soap and water. If you're having trouble getting the taste out, we recommend cleaning with vinegar and baking soda. Carbonated beverages in any bottle or tumbler that has an airtight seal (like our stainless steel bottles or the glass drinkware) can build up pressure and may either spray upon opening or break the piece. If you would like to enjoy carbonated beverages, we suggest using a non-sealed product like our acrylic tumbler. Take care when adding ice to glass bottles and tumblers. Make sure to gently place ice after the liquid to help prevent breakage of the suspended inner wall of the double-wall glass tumbler. |
| What temperatures of liquids are safe? | Acrylic Tumbler: 160° and below. This piece is intended for cool drinks, though it may be used for warm. We recommend using the straw in cool or average liquids as the straw may warp in higher temperatures. Be mindful of the temperature of your drink when using a straw, as we would hate for you to be burned. Ceramic Tumbler: 170° and below. You can also use a sleeve (just like on a paper cup, and many places now sell reusable sleeves) if you would like it warmer than that. Glass Tumbler: 180° and below. Stainless Foam-Insulated: 180° and below. Stainless Vacuum-Insulated: Good for extra hot and keep drinks warm the longest of any of our tumblers. Polypropylene Tumbler: 160° and below. For your safety, single-walled bottles are for cold drinks only. The temperature will transfer, and you may be burned. We like you, and want you to like us, so please don't use your bottle in a reckless manner. |
| Can they be microwaved? | All of our products, except the porcelain tumbler, are not microwave safe. Metal + Microwave = Bad. Always take care when microwaving liquids to ensure that you don't overheat. |
| Can I freeze my bottle? |
Because water expands when you freeze it, if you freeze your bottle with water in it, it will most likely explode. If you do this, don't be mad at yourself, laugh at yourself- and we will be laughing with you. Sorry to say this would not be covered under our warranty- however entertaining it may be. |
| What temperatures are safe for the straw? | Hot drinks may damage your straw, so we suggest using the straw for cold drinks only or wait for your drink to cool down a bit. If you notice any cracks or warping, discontinue use. |
| Are bottles and tumblers leak-proof? | Please note that while many of our lids are very spill resistant, we wouldn't suggest letting them get thrown around in the bottom of a backpack or storing them in a purse. Unless you're using a sport top lid, our stainless steel bottles are leak-proof. Our acrylic and porcelain tumblers have tightly sealed lids designed to help prevent spills, but because of their openings they are not leak-proof. Our glass bottles and tumblers are leak-resistant. |
| How do I use my removable strainer? |
The double-wall glass tumbler comes with an optional stainless steel strainer that is excellent for filtering loose leaf tea, lemon, and other drink inclusions. To use the strainer, adjust the side tabs for the best fit. Do not force the strainer into place. For your safety, insert the strainer before adding hot liquids. Keep the tumbler upright and do not steep or store upside-down with liquids. |

| Is there BPA in my oneVessel? | All of our products, lids, and accessories are free of BPA (or Bisphenol A). |
| Where are they made? |
Our bottles are ethically produced in China in factories that are both ISO 9001 and 12001 compliant for environmental and labor practices, and we have company representatives visit our factories regularly. Our designs are printed domestically. |
| What is the difference between stainless steel and aluminum bottles? | Our stainless steel does not require liners, and is more resistant to corrosion than lesser #207, or #400 grades of Stainless steel that are not as resistant to stains/corrosion. Some scientific hypothesis link environmental factors such as Aluminum with Alzheimer's. Don’t take our word for it, check it out for yourself, too.. |
| What kind of stainless steel is used? | Our stainless bottles are .4mm-gauge, type 304 (18/8) stainless steel body. We also offer a small selection bottles and tumblers that are 18/0 stainless steel to our wholesale customers. |
| What kind of ink is printed on the drinkware? | Our ink is lead-free and food safe. Be sure to hand-wash drinkware to protect the ink, as it may rub off in the dishwasher. |
| What are the lids made of? |
Our stainless steel bottle and tumbler lids are made of polypropylene. The porcelain tumbler lid is made of silicone. All of our lids are BPA free. The glass bottle and tumbler lids are made with glass and stainless steel. |
| My lid isn't sealing! | With ceramic and glass products, because of how they are made there are slight variations in height, thickness and weight, so (not often at all, but occasionally) a lid may not create a tight seal. If you ever have this problem, let us know! Please note that while many of our lids are very spill resistant, we wouldn't suggest letting them get thrown around in the bottom of a backpack or storing them in a purse. |
| What is the strainer in my tea tumbler made of? | The removable strainer in the double-wall glass tumbler is stainless steel. |

| Who can use oneVessel? |
oneVessel is intended to be used by humans over 13. (This means you, kangaroo...) Due to new child product testing regulations we unfortunately do not intend for our products to be sold to humans under 13 years of age. We are waiting to see if the legislation will make provisions for smaller producers of this type of product. As of this moment the legislation is unclear. Smaller manufacturers of children’s products are addressing this with legislators at this time and we hope for the best. The inks we use to print our designs are supplied and applied domestically using the best methods available to the marketplace. All of our inks are free of heavy metals like cadmium and lead. |
